During Summer Camp, Club members are involved in a variety of engaging and fun activities. They may include: art, cooking, science, computer lab, outdoor games, sports and fitness activities, and more.  Campers are grouped by age with approximately 15 children per group.   Specific questions about the programming can be answered by calling (608) 269-CLUB (2582). 

You can pick up and fill out your registration forms when you come to the Club to register.

Summer Camp is open to all children entering grades 3 through 8 in the 2017-2018 school year. This includes children who have just completed grade 2 in June 2017 and those children who have completed 7th grade in June 2017.

 Daily Camp Schedule
Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays
  • 6:30 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. Free Choice and Breakfast
  • 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Structured Camp Activities
  • 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Lunch
  • Campers are welcome to stay at the Boys & Girls Club for drop in hours: 12:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Camp Fees
Fees to enroll a child in Summer Camp are listed below. A current membership is required to register for summer camp. A membership is $30.00 for the year.  A three month membership for June, July, and August only is $15.  Each household is required to pay a $25 activity fee prior to the child's first 2017 visit. This includes the cost for a Camp T-shirt.  

Early Bird Fee 
   (Must register April 18th - April 22nd)
$60 per week for 1st child, plus $30 per field trip
$50 per week per sibling, plus $30 per field trip
$90.00 deposit due at registration

Regular Fee
$65 per week plus $30 per field trip
$55 per week plus $30 per field trip per sibling

Weekly payments must be made by Friday before the week child will be attending.  Otherwise, payment can also be made in full at any time.
If your child will miss an entire week, no payment is due.  However, if the child will be here any time during the week, payment must be made in full.

What does the fee include?
  • Each week, the fee for participating in Summer Camp allows the child to join in on the activities at the Club as well as:
  • 5 lunches
  • 5 snacks
  • Wednesday field trips (includes admissions costs, transportation, meal and snack and supervision)
Registration for Summer Camp
Registration will be held at the Boys & Girls Club of Sparta on a first come, first serve basis with a limited number of campers per age group. Registration dates are as follows:

Early Bird Registration
April 22 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM - Walk in
April 18-21 - by appointment

Registration forms can be obtained at the Club during registration.

Each Wednesday, the Club is only open to children attending the field trips. Campers must be at the Club by 8:00 in the morning in order to attend the field trip. Field trip fees are included in camper registration fees. 
If your child is not going to be attending a field trip on a given week, you may deduct $30 from the weekly summer camp rate. 

Breakfast & Refreshments
A selection of breakfast foods will be available for purchase for campers who attend the Club prior to 8:00 a.m. Prices for breakfast foods will range from $1.00 to $2.00. Vending machines with various snack foods, soda-pop, juice, and water are also located in the Club. Prices for those items range from $.50 to $2.00.

Free Lunch Program
Lunch and an afternoon snack will be provided free-of-charge to all campers and non-campers Monday through Friday, on designated days, set up by the Sparta School District. This include field trips in which children will receive a free sack lunch and snack. On days lunch is not provided, your child will need to bring a sack lunch and drink. 
Snack Cash Punch Cards
Snack cash punch cards are available in twenty dollar increments. Snack cash punch cards are available at the front desk for purchase. The punch cards are redeemable for food and drinks from the Club's snack bar only. Vending machines require
regular currency. Money unspent on the cards is non-refundable and will be considered a donation to the Club to help offset programming costs.
