About the Club

Welcome to the Boys & Girls Club of Sparta! Our mission is to inspire and enable all young people to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. In order to accomplish this mission, the Boys & Girls Club of Sparta provides:

A safe place to learn and grow
Ongoing relationships with caring, adult professionals
Life-enhancing programs and character development experiences

Programs Instill:

A sense of competence - The feeling there is something boys and girls can do and do well

A sense of usefulness - The opportunity to do something of value for other people

A sense of belonging - A setting where young people know they fit in and are accepted

A sense of power or influence - A chance for members to be heard and to influence decisions

Mentoring

National Mentoring Month reminds us that belonging can change a life.
For a child, being matched with an in-Club mentor means knowing there is someone who shows up just for them—someone who listens, encourages, and believes they matter. For mentors, it’s a chance to belong too: to be part of a young person’s journey and a community that values connection and purpose. Whether you’re an adult looking to make a difference or a parent whose child could benefit from a caring, consistent role model, mentoring creates a space where everyone feels seen, supported, and connected. Sometimes, all it takes is one relationship to turn “I’m alone” into “I belong.
