HOUSE OF SHADOWS SKELETON KEY HUNT
Be the first to find the hidden skeleton key, somewhere in the Town of Sparta, and win an amazing prize!

One clue per day will be issued beginning September 29th at 2:00pm.
Clues will be posted on the House of Shadows Facebook page, the Boys & Girls Club of Sparta’s Facebook Page and our Club’s website between 2:00 and 3:00pm each day. Clues will be shared until the key is found or all clues are posted on October 6th.
 (whichever comes first).  

Prizes awaiting the person finding the Skeleton Key include: 
  • 4 tickets to the House of Shadows
  • 4 Sparta Cinema 6 Movie Tickets
  • Pizza Hut Gift Card
  • Fall Family Fun Goodies
When you find the key, please notify us by following the directions indicated on the key. Prizes can be claimed at the Boys & Girls Club of Sparta. Please call ahead before you stop in to pick up your prize. 608.269.2582.

The 2025 Skeleton Key:

• Is located within the Sparta city limits
• Is outside
• Is never buried underground
• Is always on public property
• Is accessible 24 hours, but posted hours should be observed
• May be camouflaged or hidden
• Club Administrative Staff are not eligible to participate
• Photos of winners may be used for media purposes

The Boys & Girls Club of Sparta asks that Skeleton Key hunters respect public and private property (as well as their fellow hunters) while trying to locate the key. Please do not damage foliage while searching for the key.

2025 * The Skeleton Key has been Found! It was in the Horse Shoe pits near the pickleball courts.


Clue #1
This quest has been challenging in the past.  Perhaps this year it won't be as hard?

(challenging = game requiring skill - near something soft - sand)


Clue #2

The morning sun is rising and there is quiet in the air.

(East side of town in an area that is quiet in the morning bur gets busy as the day goes on)


Clue #3
2 is Company, 3's a Crowd, 4's Double the Fun, 5 is loud!

(2 or 4 people can play both horse shoes and pickleball)

I saw some ladies arguing back and forth. What's the point?

(Lady GAGA (ball) - back and forth = a ball or a horse shoe going back and forth. Point for who is closest to stake)

If you're lucky, you could spot me from out the back door...or even from your kitchen!
