Membership Information Why should children become members?
The mission statement of Boys & Girls Clubs of America is "to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens." We provide programs and activities that help Club members achieve these goals. Click on the following links to see some of our services:
How much does it cost to be a member, and how long does the membership last?
Our membership fee is $30.00 per child. The membership is then active for 12 months (one year). If the $30.00 membership fee is a financial hardship, please come to the Club to pick up a Scholarship Application.
How do children become members?
The Club is open for all children, grades 3-12. Parents can fill out the following forms and bring the membership fee to the Club. They can send the completed forms with their child or drop them off on their own. The membership is active as soon as we receive the forms and fee.
Are children members of the Boys & Girls Club of Sparta if they have current memberships at another Boys & Girls Club?
No, they are not. Although the Clubs throughout the states are all affiliated with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, each Club is an individual organization. Children wishing to visit our Club for a few days may take advantage of the 5-Day Membership Pass (see information below) or become members of our Club.
